Someone came over to our table to ask how is everything ?
We did not know who this person was. There was No introduction to who this person was nor was there any identification or markings as to this persons' role. Not a good experience this time with Mama's.
The food was absolutely amazing. The service was the best I have had in a long time. Highly recommended.
It was another 30 - 40 minutes before the dinner came out and it was cold and dried up. You could see that the dinners were sitting around in the kitchen. Some of the pasta on top was Dry hard and yellowing.
The Appetizers came out to the Table 30 minutes after ordering and the other order of appetizers 15 minutes after the first appetizers were brought out to the Table.
Absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant. I live an hr and 10 mins away and it’s well worth it. The food is impeccable and you will know right away it’s family run and owned. I tried to compliment someone whom I thought was an owner and working but she told me she wasn’t an owner. She works there for 28 yrs! Folks, when you work at a restaurant for 28 yrs that tells you a lot. Fantastic place. 20 stars!!!!
The most amazing gluten free, vegan, restaurant we have ever been too. The number of menu variations that exist to accommodate people with food allergies is unlike anything we have experienced elsewhere. How about a separate kitchen area to separate food while cooking. You can mix/match from listed menu options at no charge and without any hassles. Gluten free, dairy free breads, pizza, pastas, etc. Wait staff are familiar with food allergies and will specifically ask you what you have to ensure they get your order right. Fairly expensive but worth it.
First of all, everyone is super friendly, so there's no doubt about that. Unfortunately my dish, chicken parm, didn't meet my expectations, which is OK also, it happens. What I find it of very poor taste is for someone to drop the dessert menu while we're still in the middle of our meal, as well as not making the offer to refill our drinks (wine and beer that they now sell). It delivers the message that we need to hurry up and leave. Going out to a local restaurant is about the full experience of enjoying the company of your significant other and not feel like we are an inconvenience. Please take this as constructive criticism as I know you've been around for 47 years and have contributed to the community in the area.
This was my third time at Mama's. The first two times at Mama's, the experience was great. First thing that must be mentioned is that the servers (Waitresses) were pleasant, polite, cheerful and helpful.
