Loved their spinach dip. I would suggest just getting appetizers. They fill you up easily.

Been going here for years and it is a good food option in the area. It's really cool that they have photos and banners of the local sports teams. The wait staff is always very helpful and the food quick. Minus one point for those tabletop tablets that are a $$ sink.
Didn't write our name so we waited 40 minutes while others went ahead of us. When we inquired we were seated after another 15 minutes. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Drinks came right away but the apps came with an apology 30 minutes later. The food was good but the service was soooooo slow. They comped us for the appetizer and took 30% off the bill.
Stopped in for lunch with my son. The place was empty and the service was still slow and barely competent. I was asked, with a full drink in front of me, if I wanted more to drink but when my glass was empty I was never asked again. When I saw in the bill that there was an upcharge for juice on a kids meal I asked our waiter about it and he was rather rude in telling me that it was clearly stated on the kids menu. The manager came over to inform me that she had graciously removed the juice charge that, frankly, shouldn't have been there in the first place. I said ok and she wouldn't stop talking, I finally had to tell her I was trying to enjoy lunch with my son and to leave us alone. My food was barely warm and prepared poorly but the waiter never came back to the table so include tell him about it. Overall a bad experience. I will NEVER return to the Hackettstown Applebees... and likely won't go to any Applebees again.
