Awful. Went two nuts in a row with bloody stool, awful cramp/pain and extended stomach. Did nothing but take blood and let me lay there for hours both days. Left with Pepcid as a issue solver. Left went to denville ct scan within 30 mins...I had colitis and ulcers in colon. Horrible care at hackettstown if I could I would easily give them 0 stars.
The nurses and doctors are very nice and make sure all needs are met. In my experience, one nurse in particular was incredible, Nurse Ronnie. I needed to get rabi shots because my dog was attacked by a raccoon and she made sure I didn't feel any pain. It was wonderful!! I was so thankfull to her.
I have been to several different hospitals. I was a sickly child. I recently moved to Hackettstown with my fiancé and this medical center is about 5 minutes away. She has been vomitting in the waiting room for about 3 hours. Nobody came over, nobody even offered a damn tissue. THIS IS THE WORST HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER SEEN.
This was back in August of 2015: I was nineteen at the time and I came in with injuries that had not yet been assessed. I had hit my head pretty hard and (found out later) I had a serious concussion and a brain hemorrhage. From what I heard later on (told to me by the people who brought me to the hospital) that they not only made me wait for over half an hour while I had blood dripping from out of my ears, but that a nurse told me to lay down and close my eyes; a nurse at this hospital basically suggested that I take a nap while in their emergency room waiting area while I had a severe concussion. After waiting nearly fourty-five minutes it was revealed to the people who brought me to the hospital that Hackettstown Medical Center did not have an adequate ICU to treat someone in my condition. Upon receiving this information, I was then transferred to Morristown Medical Center (which I recommend) where I was given a prognosis of approximately 10% chance of survival. Hackettstown is deplorable in their treatment of patients. Their triage judgement is terrible as well; during the fourty-five minutes that I waited to be attended to, a man came in with poison ivy, and this man was almost seen before I was, but he refused and thought that it was absurd that he would be seen before me. I would not only say that this hospital is generally terrible, but that no one should trust them with a medical emergency unless their entire staff is replaced. I can't speak too much on the doctors, but the staff is absolutely atrocious and should have been fired long ago.
My brother had sever pain in his back. He couldn’t even walk or sit. So i took home to hackettstown hospital and they wanted him to sit in the waiting room for over an hour. They didn’t have a stretcher for him to lay down on. After a few minuets I decided to drive him to Morristown hospital. Apparently he has a severe pinched nerve. It’s still a hospital and ill still go if I had an emergency. But they dropped the ball this time, my brother was crying from the pain.
