This office was highly recommended, particularly for cancer survivors such as myself. I needed a second opinion about abdominal pain, so I took the advice of family and friends and called All About Women GYN Associates. My visit with them is what prompted me to write this review.
Everyone in the office is so nice and I have seen all the nurses and doctors and they are all great ! I wouldn't think to go anywhere else. Dr uzbay was my doctor and delivered my daughter and she was so great !!
I hope she'll not be there by my next year's appointment.
On the phone, the receptionist listened to what I told her about my medical history and my reasons for seeking another opinion. She agreed and assisted me with setting up an appointment. She told me I needed to have a form filled out with my other doctor's information, etc. We setup on the phone exactly what was needed, including me picking up a form prior to my appt.
He then suggested I go to my regular GP and ask him for "muscle relaxers," because, "they'll help you relax." He didn't believe my problem was gynecological (he still hadn't discussed my medical history at this point let alone make any attempt to examine me). I was there for a second opinion - I'm a god damn cancer survivor! - I was not there for drugs. What an arrogant prick!
When I was called in from the waiting room I was met by a young woman who seemed very friendly. We started chatting and she walked me to the examination room. Once there, she took my vitals, then interviewed me about the reasons why I was there. I told her the entire story and she seemed to understand. Then she asked me questions about my habits, sexual and otherwise. If I hesitated with a yes or no answer, she'd say, "That's a yes." And giggle. Then she'd shoot another question at me. I had heard this office was a bit different, but for all the good reasons, so I answered her questions as best I could and tried to correct her when she made assumptions. Then she asked me if I ever used marijuana. I hesitated -I used medical marijuana (Marinol) when I was going through chemo 10 yrs ago but I didn't want to answer the question because the answer was going in my chart. So she said, "That's a yes." And giggled. And I said, "I don't want that in my chart!" But she giggled again and said, "Of course you don't." She shot more questions at me and I never had the chance to revisit the question she never asked me - did I use medical marijuana or recreational. Then she left, and soon after the doctor came in.
Susan is great. But the lady at the reception made me wait 30 min. I did arrive to the office 15min before my appointment as I was told, she was on the phone...I stood there waiting by the window for a while then I sat down thinking that she will get back to me when she's done...no.. she kept talking, taking phone calls and ignoring me until another patient showed up. This time she did actually opened the window, talked to her and gave her the forms to fill...and she looked at me and said... you wasn't supposed to be here..I was... really!!!! Yes I have an appointment...then she started looking and checking... and didn't even apologized for the time I had to wait...so rude and unprofessional...
And then charged me for his time.
Dr. Campbell looked me up and down, then offered his hand for me to shake. I shook it, he proceeded to inspect his hand as if I'd spit on it. Then he began an obnoxious display of arrogant body language, with an accusatory tone. I had no idea what was happening - I was there to see if there were tumors growing somewhere in my body, and he's rubbing his chin and looking me up and down. Meanwhile, I'm half naked beneath a cloth, sitting on the end of the table. What an arrogant prick - the way he was contorting his body, twisting it and rubbing his chin and looking me up and down. He was asking me questions, but they weren't to do with my problem - he kept asking me about my pain and how long I was in pain. Nothing about my medical history, just questions of an accusatory nature about pain that he obviously doubted I was experiencing.
I really did like the office before when Dr Usbay was still there but now....
Avoid this place. Go elsewhere. Find people who care and who aren't working their way through life playing backyard detective.
When I arrived, the receptionist couldn't have cared less to help me, and no one seemed to understand what form I was talking about or what I needed. In a huff, the receptionist stamped all over a form and shoved it at me and told me to fax it. As if I have a fax machine at the ready for my own, personal use. I figured I'd fix it all later on with someone else.
