I have been browsing several big name furniture stores the last few weeks. I happened to be in Hackettstown and stopped into Berks. ..a good decision. I purchased a living room set with expected delivery within 2 weeks. However, after 1 week i was back at Berks asking to cancel the order as the furniture seating was smaller and would not be comfortable for everyone.
I love this place support Local businesses Amy and Ann were great! Also delivery guys were awesome can't say enough good things keep up the good work guys! Nevertheless I will be buying more furniture in the future !!!
I have made two large purchases there recently. Justin & Amy are both very helpful, as well as the woman that I spoke to regarding delivery. And the delivery guys were easy to deal with. The furniture and mattresses are very well made and priced well. You won't find particle board from China here! I passed by this place many times and after finally checking it out, had wished I had made prior purchases here. PS - I love stores that do not have pushy salespeople!!
Unfortunately I didnt read the signed contract and was advised their cancellation and restock fees..ouch! I had choices, move forward with the order or cancel and take the loss. I sat in the furniture I ordered and truly realized that it was definitely not going to work...very disappointing. Much to my surprise, Amy approached me to tell me that they were going to waive the cancellation and restocking fee and offered me my full deposit as an in-store credit!!! I could not thank her enough to extend me that courtesy. This is customer service at its finest! I spent more time at Berks and actually found another set that has the comfort and motion to keep everyone happy. What I was in search of was found locally and not in the heavily TV advertised furniture stores. If your looking for furniture I recommend stopping in at Berks!
Anna at Berks is an amazing sales associate and interior designer! She helped us choose a kitchen table set and furniture for our family room. We spent a few days even emailing back and forth regarding fabrics for the family room since I was living out of state and in the process of moving to NJ and couldn't get to the store to keep picking out the details. I can't put into words how accommodating she was and still is (just got the couch delivered today). The quality is great too! Will definitely be shopping there again.
